Johnny Jones
Owner/CEO
Johnny has over 25 years of leadership experience in transportation and logistics. Prior to founding the Company in 2010, he served as the Director of Business Development for the HUB Group (NASDAQ: HUBG). Prior to joining the HUB Group, Johnny served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for U.S. Xpress Enterprises (NYSE: USX).
John White
President
John has over 30 years of industry experience leading best-in-class transportation and logistics companies. He previously served on the Board for Women in Trucking and as a Board Member at Large with the American Trucking Associations. Prior to joining Safer, John served in various leadership roles at U.S. Xpress Enterprises (NYSE: USX), including President, Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing. In addition, John served in leadership roles with Swift Transportation and MS Carriers (NYSE: KNX) and J.B. Hunt Transport Services (NASDAQ: JBHT). He earned a B.A. from the State University of New York College at Geneseo.
Stephen A. Grace
Executive Vice President of Operations
Stephen has served as the Executive Vice President of Operations for Safer Logistics since October 2013. Before joining Safer Logistics, Stephen held leadership positions at Arnold Transportation and U.S. Xpress Enterprises (NYSE: USX). During his tenure at Arnold Transportation, Stephen served as Vice President of Operations as well as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Previously, during his tenure at U.S. Xpress, he held roles in customer service and operations, and was the Director of Planning. Stephen holds a B.A. from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Marc Stewart
Chief Financial Officer
Marc has over 25 years of finance and accounting leadership experience. Prior to joining the Company in 2014, Marc served as the Vice President of Risk Management with Western Express. In addition, Marc served in various finance leadership roles with Facility Services Management and Shippers Transport Company. Marc earned a B.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin.
Jeremy Green
Vice President of Operations
Jeremy has nearly 10 years of transportation and logistics experience. Since joining Safer in 2014, Jeremy has served in several roles, including as Vice President of Operations, Logistics Coordinator and Procurement Manager. Prior to joining Safer, Jeremy served as Logistics Coordinator for Access America Transport. Jeremy received a B.A. from Albion College.
Darlene Crabtree
Vice President of Information Systems, Safety and Training
Darlene has over 25 years of transportation and logistics industry experience. Since joining in2015, Darlene has served as the Company’s Vice President of Information Technology, Safety and Training. Prior to joining Safer, Darlene served in a similar capacity for U.S. Xpress Enterprises (NYSE: USX).
Kendal Helms
Vice President of Human Resources
Kendal has over 15 years of human resource industry experience. Since joining in 2017, Kendal has served as Vice President of Human Resources and Driver Training. Prior to joining the Company, Kendal served as the Human Resources Quality Assurance and Compensation Officer for the City of Chattanooga. Prior to joining the City of Chattanooga, Kendal served as the Compensation and Staffing Manager for U.S. Xpress Enterprises (NYSE: USX). Kendal received a B.S. from The University of Chattanooga.
